On with the Wedding 2

Here's the Church, I love this picture that my photographer took, the sky was so beautiful that day! The weather couldn't have been more perfect!

My bouquet! Hydrageas and Roses, I loved it and I added a little personal touch that I'll share with you later.
My shoes, JCrew bought on Ebay for more than half the price. They were perfect.

And finally, here I am smelling some perfume. I wasn't sure what fragrance I wanted to wear on my wedding day, so I decided to go to Macy's and Nordstrom and ask for a bunch of samples! I highly suggest this to any bride to be if you don't already have a scent picked out. I ended up going with Philosophys Amazing Grace. It had the perfect light floral blend that I was looking for!
I have a lot more getting ready pics to post but these were all I was able to upload this morning before work so stay tuned later tonight!

Dodgeball....it's not for sissy's!

Who knew dodgeball was a contact sport! And when I say contact I mean someone's camera contacting with my face.............so I'm at dodgeball last night and one of my teammates asks me to hold his camera while he goes on.

I'm holding it and thinking 'I'll just take some pictures' so I put the camera up and I'm getting ready to snap and all of a sudden *BAM* stupid guy on the other team throws a dodgeball with everything he's got and it contacted right with the camera and my face! I didn't even know what had happened all I could think about was how bad my face hurt and I must be bleeding! And of course I have tears streaming down my face because of where the ball and camera hit me.

So I'm standing there and I can see blood out of the corner of my eye on my nose and I'm thinking great so I look at my nose and it's bleeding from where the camera hit it and I have a big old swollen lip! ugh!

Long story short, we won the game, I got home iced my face, woke up this morning and my lip is even more swollen than it was last night and my nose is all gross and my cheek is nice and pufffed. Sweet! I have my first official dodgeball injury!

And just to make it even better as our team was leaving last night we saw this super hot chick playing!!! That is just HOT! Right???

Finance Experiment.....

So thank you all for your sweet comments on my wedding pics....I really wasn't looking for compliments but ya'll are just so sweet! You made my day!

I'll be posting more pics tonight hopefully!

On to the reason for my title. Since we are in such hard financial times I figured I would try a little experiment and see how I did. I don't know about you girls (and guys, maybe) but I always break my bills down every pay period and see what I have left and then I always end up spending a lot of money on random stuff.....drugstore, target, don't feel like cooking so we order in.....those kinds of things but I never track it so I don't really know how much extra I'm spending, you know?

Well I decided that in order to try and save more every pay period (for me I get paid on the 15th and at the end of the month) I'm going to take $100 cash out of my account at the beginning and try to use that instead of using my check card. I'm hoping it will help me save money and at least give me an idea of what I'm spending.

And to take it one step further I'm going to keep track of it on here. In a perfect world I'd end up having money left over and be able to spend it on moi! : ) Nothing cheers me up more than a little spree at Target!

So here we go.........I took $100 out on 1/30 (the money hits my account that day b/c the 31st was a Saturday)

And here's my spending so far:
1/30 - $2 breakfast at work - Left $98
1/31 - $15 on Lunch with my girlfriend - Left $83
2/1 - $5 placed bet on Superbowl - Left $78
2/1 - +$32 won on the Superbowl bet, woohoo! - $110
2/3 - $10 chinese dinner with hubby - Left $100
2/4 - $6 Lunch with coworker - Left $94

So I now have $94 left to spend in 9 days, which breaks down to roughly $10.50 a day.

I'm going to keep track on my sidebar and you'll be able to see what I'm spending as well.

On with the Wedding!

I decided what better month than February (the month of LUV) to share with you my wedding pics! So here we go......first up.....the salon....I love this place, I actually found it through my photographer and got my hair done there a couple of times before deciding it was the place I'd be going to for my Big Day!
This is what the back of my hair looked like once it was done....he's working on my swoopy bang type thing that was in the front.


**DISCLAIMER** I am not one of those gals who has the natural beauty without her makeup on. I need makeup and I'm not wearing any in these pics. So I'm sorry if I scare anyone! Think of me like Oprah, she looks really good with the makeup on but she is downright scary when she's not wearing any! Hubby calls me the perfect before and after girl.

So here I am right after my stylist put my veil on, I know I don't look terribly happy but I was! It's just all sinking in I think.



Little out of order here but he's teasing me up and I'm lovin it apparently.

Here I am with SIL and MIL, they are so sweet and I love them to death. I really am a lucky girl to have such great in-laws!

Here I am looking at a texted picture of the groom's cake from my brother's wife. It turned out great, you'll see those soon......and if your wondering what the bag is doing on the back of my hair it actually was keeping my curls in place until I got to the Church!

I love this picture I don't know why, maybe because it reminds me of when I was a little girl...must be the lack of makeup. : )

Funny Email Conversation!

So I had to share this email conversation, that I just had with my sweet mama...........I think you'll get a kick out of it.

Now, poor thing, she's dealing with what so many people are dealing with right now, the very real and close possibility that she's going to lose her job. She works for a private boarding school and let me just say they haven't treated her the best. She's the account manager.

Anyway, you need to know that my mama does not drink, has never drunk, and will probably never put a drop of alcohol to her lips in this lifetime. She just has no desire, doen't see the point and doesn't care to. More power to her.

So here is how the conversation went:

Mama: You can cut the tension around here with a knife today....UNBELIEVALBE!

Me: Your gonna need a drink by the time the weekend gets here, haha, just kidding!

Mama: YEP - I am glad that I just bought a 6-pack of FUZZ.

Me: What is FUZZ??

Mama: That is the banana - coconut drink that I have been getting. They are really good - Maybe that is not the right name...

Me: haha, do you mean FUZE!

Mama: FUZZ - FUZE - what is the difference when you are unemployed?? When are you coming home?

She makes me laugh. She is also having some serious empty nest syndrome since I got married. Before I would come home at least once a week because the apartment that hubby and I live in isn't big enough for all of my stuff so half of it is at my parents house. I know it's pure tragic and it's torture not having all of my things in one place, I can't wait to buy a house! But back to the topic at hand, since getting married I don't come home nearly as often just because I feel like I should be with my husband more, I'm just old-fashioned that way. So she's having some serious Sarah withdrawal : (

Maybe the FUZZ will wash away her sorrows of not having me there! ; )
