I HAVE A FEVER!!!

When the weather get's nice out, this is where hubby and I take walks, isn't it gorgeous!!! It is so nice out that I didn't even have to wear a jacket to work this morning! I seriously contemplated playing hookie!!

And I was seriously productive yesterday with my list!!!

*Made my eye appointment

*I'm on the waiting list to get my teeth cleaned

*Made my hair appointment

Okay that was it but that was a lot for me!!! I'm on a roll.

Tomorrow I think I'm gonna do a little shopping with my sweet mama and help her find some bathroom decor for my parents new house that their building at the rivah! (more on that later)

And then I think that hubby and I are going to go to the movies this weekend and see Taken, it looks really good!! Has anyone else seen it!?!

Off to Scotland!!!

Hello?? I'm leaving for Scotland is 35 days and I have soooo much to do get done!!

I need to get organized ya'll!

So here's a list of random things to get done before I leave!

*Dentist (need to get my pearlys cleaned)

*Eye doctor (really really need a new pair of specs)

* Hair (yes you read that right, I'm still white trash, I just can't figure out what I want to do....should I chop it, should I go darker, should I go lighter, should I do something totally different...aaahhhh too many choices!!!!!)

*Mystic Tan (never tried it but want to go at least 3 times before I leave, I'm way way too pale ya'll)

*Need to take a look at what I'm going to pack (that's a biggie)

* Have to make Lily (niece) a tutu for her birthday (I'm going to miss her b-day so I want to have it for her ahead of time)

*Need to get my sweet mama a b-day present, we leave on her birthday

*Get a few presents to take to the in-laws, we never sent them Christmas presents so I want to take some stuff over

I need to get all of this done in 35 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, I'm going to be one busy girl! I'll be back later brainstorming on gifts so ya'll can help me decide.........

25 things about little ol me!

Hi friends, so sorry to keep going MIA on you but I'm having some serious writers block right now and can't think of anything to post about.....although I have to say that my little neice did love her tutu but I didn't get any pictures of her in it because she got a little overwhelmed with all the presents and what was going on, Bless her heart......

Okay I was tagged by a couple of people on Facebook and the newly engaged Jessica to list 25 random facts about myself........so here it goes.

1. I have never broken a bone, ever. (Knock on wood)

2. I had invisalign last year and I'm so glad I did it. I love how straight my teeth are now and can't believe how crooked they actually were.

3. My husband is from Scotland and his whole family lives in Europe, I'm so sad that I have to go over and visit them all the time : )

4. I'm a homebody, I'd pick staying home on the couch over going out any day!

5. I've had glasses/contacts since I was in fourth grade.

6. When I was little I used to LOVE getting cavities because that meant I got to get the "laughing gas"!

7. I lived in an apartment by myself for my junior and senior year in college and I absolutely loved it!

8. I'm the only girl out of five siblings, yup four brothers and me.

9. I got to go to Hawaii for my senior spring break in college. It was the farthest I'd ever been from home at that point.

10. I love to cook.

11. I hope to start my own business one day.

12. I want to have at least two children.

13. Twins run in my family and I have a good chance of having them.

14. If I had to pick another era to live in I would choose to live in Jane Austen's time. I'm obsessed with that time period and love watching movies about that era!

15. I've never had any eating disorders but people thought I did.

16. I had a stranger sing to me in the middle of Target. I was flattered.

17. A guy in one of my classes in college took out a gun and pointed it at the professor, I've never been so scared in my life and all I could think is how do I get out of here. It turned out to be a fake and the guy got kicked out of the university for it.

18. I had people try to break into my aparment in college twice, while I was there. They never got in. I got mace after that.

19. My nickname in my family is Sissy.

20. I made up my three older brothers nicknames when I was really little.....Chris=Dolly, Kevin=Keky, Jeremiah=miney (pronounced my-ney)....when my little brother came along he was given the nickname Dude.

21. Ever seen Little Women? You know how the girls called their mother "Marmy" yeah well my brothers all call my mama "Moy" no idea why and they call my daddy "Dede" I am the only one who calls them Mama and Daddy.

22. I'm left handed and so are my little brother and my older brother.

23. I can't dance, at all, I look like Ramona on the Real Housewives of NY, yeah that bad.

24. I have no credit card debt.

25. I hate the gym, I've never been able to get into a routine of going, it always lasts a week or two and then I lose interest.

TUTU!!

One of my sweet little nieces Skyler is turning 3 this weekend! So I thought that for her birthday I would make her a tutu! And I have to say that I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out! I can't wait to take pictures of her in it! :D

Fun V-Day shopping and my prize!

I treated myself to a little Valentine's Day shopping on Saturday and got some cute stuff. I had a Victoria Secret gift card left over from before my wedding so I went in to see what they had and ended up getting these super cute-super comfortable pink pants!

They're called the Boyfriend fit pants and they are the comfiest pants ever!!! I've been living in them every night since I got them! I figured they'd be good for long plane rides! (I got the pink)

Hello I'm back with more Wedding Recaps!

Hello friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day! Mine was good, dinner was wonderful and the weekend was very nice and relaxing....didn't want it to end!

So onto the wedding pics! Here is a picture of the sanctuary before the ceremony nice and empty!

And here is a picture of it at the end of the ceremony, we really filled it up!

Here is a pick of the programs that my mom and I made. I created the template and then bought the paper from Office Max for like $12 and then bought the ribbon on ebay for I think $8...they turned out great! My sweet mama tied all the ribbons on, it was a labor of love!

Here is a picture of the tartan ribbon that I bought and gave to the florist to create these beautiful bows for the first four rows! I love the way they turned out.

Here's a pic of the flower arrangements that were at the front of the Church! I absolutely was in love with them, they were exactly what I had envisioned and I couldn't have been happier!

Okay here is, hands down, the bargain of my wedding! I knew I wanted to incorporate the unity candles into the ceremony, I just love what they represent. Well for some reason this was a detail that I kept to the last minute and didn't really put a lot of thought into it. So a couple weeks before the wedding I was in Wal-Mart and went to the craft section......and there were these unity candle sets on clearance and I think I paid $5 for the the two side candles and the main unity candle!!!! Seriously $5!!! And the stands were just stands that I had bought at Target probably 5 years ago!!

(I'm for hire if you'd like me to find serious bargains for you as well!) ; )

This is a picture of one of my flower girls baskets that I got from Michael's for $7 (on clearance) and my pearls that I wore and my earings that Hubby had made for me!

Here's another picture of the girls baskets and my garter that my mama gave me at my second shower, along with my pearls.

*note-we never actually got to the garter and flower toss, the night got away from us, but in the end it wasn't a big deal at all.

Here's my guest book that was at the ceremony, another gift from my mama, I believe she gave this to me the Christmas before we got married.

So here's my bag...............it's from H&M and I paid $19.99 for it! I also have it in white that I use in the spring/summer......

And I've seen some lovely ladies take it one step further and show what's inside their purse so I thought I'd share as well because I don't know about ya'll but I'm nosy like that!

So that's my planner, list maker, wallet from Target, vera checkbook cover and vera makeup bag, cell phone, sunglasses, gloves, anti-bac in apple, up top is my starbucks gift card, nail file, lip glosses that I couldn't fit in my makeup bag, and lastly my mase that I've had since college...a girl can never be too careful.....

And in my makeup bag is my emergency glasses and contact case, clinique powder, lipgloss, lipstick, smashbox lipgloss, benefit lipstick, rimmell lipstick, revlon lipgloss, lipsmackers lipgloss, two sample perfumes, can't remember what they are...

Oh my gosh ya'll this literally just happened, you know you're white trash when you let your roots grow out to the point that people are making comments on it! Excuse me while I go and make a hair appointment!

Valentines Dinner Menu

In an attempt to be frugal, I've planned a nice romantic dinner at home for Valentines Day.....plus this way we won't have to fight the crowds, especially since V-day falls on a Saturday this year.

So here is the menu that I've come up with!

We'll be drinking FatBastard Chardonnay
This wine is great and won't break the bank. It's actually the wine that hubby and I drank the first time he ever cooked me dinner. So it has sentimental meaning.

I'll be making Barefoot Contessa's Roasted Brussel Sprouts! These aren't you mama's mushy sprouts, these bad boys are so yummy and fresh, we love em!

Then I'll be making Giada de Laurentiis' Herb Stuffed Tomatoes I've never made these before but they sound really good!

I'll be whipping up some homeade red skin mashed potatoes as well!

And for the main dish, I got some bourbon and brown sugar soaked salmon from BJ's that we've had before and it's sooooo gooooood!

For dessert I'm making strawberry cupcakes with Cream Cheese frosting! And for an added Valentines touch I'm making the cupcakes in the shape of a heart!

How do I do that? Well all you have to do is place your papers in the cupcake pan and add the batter as you normally would.........then........

After you do that drop a marble or a balled up peice of foil on one side of the paper in between the paper and the pan.....to creat an indent....when the cupcakes cook up you'll have a nice little heart shaped cupcake! Once they're done and cooled just discard the foil or take out the marble. : )

Such a great weekend!

We are enjoying some seriously great weather here in the south right now!!! It was in the 60's and 70's over the weekend and it's supposed to hit 72 tomorrow!?!? Spring and Summer why are you such a tease??? You know I can't handle this because you will leave and then make me go back to the winter weather...you just like to torture me!!! I know it!

My weekend was absolutely fantastic! I'll do a proper recap tonight with lots of pics! But for now let me just say that I caved on the money I have about 10 left I think....not good!

I went to Marshall's on Sunday and got a really cute Limited cardigan on clearance for $13 and then I got two black pairs of work pants that were Limited also....that I am going to have to take back because they don't fit and they are too short as well.

But I have to tell you that I saw this in the picture section and just about died!!! It was a HUGE picture and of course I saw it and thought oh that's too cute but didn't really think too hard on it because I thought it would be too expensive. Well for some reason I decided to take a closer look and what do you think I found out?!?

I'm talking this bad girl was like a 16x20 picture pulled over like a canvas painting but it was a different material!

And I didn't get it ya'll!!!! So I'm going to take my two pairs of pants back and keep my fingers crossed all the way there that no one's bought it!!! Audrey would look good anywhere and I can just save her until we buy a house and then pick out the perfect place for her!

This was my something borrowed. I didn't realize until my bridal luncheon that I didn't have anything borrowed. So my maid of honor let me borrow her beautiful pearl bracelet, it really added a nice touch.
