Have you ever?

Today I haven't actually done anything wedding related!?!? Except for posting my shower pics...that's it!!!!

I have actually spent a little time catching up on a few blogs and it got me thinking. Have you ever gone through someone's blog that you normally read and then see someone else's comment or see a follower that looks interesting and click on them and then just keep going deeper and deeper and then you've forgotten how you even got there?

I've been doing that all day and I've been finding some really cute blogs........which made me start thinking (randomly) that I want to update my blogroll! Hello and thanks!!!

I'm feeling much better after reading all of your sweet comments! I'm just on a roller coaster ride right now! I'm talking to all of the vendors everyday getting it all squared away! And one minutes I'm feeling good and then the next minute I'm feeling stressed....oh well it'll all be over in less than 17 days!!!!

My bridal shower went GREAT!! I've got pics that I'm going to post asap! I got some great stuff! All of my everyday china! Some great entertaining pieces! My flatware! My Kate Spade flutes for the wedding! And my sweet mama outdid herself....again!!! She made me a recipe book with my new name on it and put all of our family recipes in there!!! Then she made my garter with tartan ribbon of course!!! Then she bought me some Barefoot Contessa dvd's and finally she got me a gift certificate to Victoria Secret to go and get my wedding night outfit and she threw in some cute bridal panties!!! Seriously she has spoiled me to death!!!

Then on Sunday we went to The Pottery in Williamsburg and got my portrait framed! Which was a load off my mind!

And finally I decided on my bridesmaids final gift........................................I'm getting them one of these...............Personalized LUGGAGE TAGS!!! And I found them on Etsy! I decided on luggage tags because all of my bridesmaids are traveling in the next month or so!

Hello???

Do I have any readers out there or have you all given up on me since I keep disapearing? I'm so sorry! I'm in my first week of my new job and the new cube that I'm in is not as nice as the last one I was in, a.k.a. it's not as private so I can't do the blogging thing like I normaly do! I guess I'm going to have to start posting when I'm at home at night! Job is going well, it's been seriously crazy though, I don't know if I've mentioned it before but I'm in the financial industry, yikes!

So on the wedding front I'm going a little crazy, I'm having bridezilla moments and feeling terrible about it! I'm such a control freak and I think that's part of my problem because I'm taking on way too much and it's making me go a little insane! We've had a few hiccups, like the frame that we got for the bridal portrait didn't work, because the picture wouldn't fit in it so now we are going on Sunday to try to find a new one. Then we got two frames to give to my grandparents with my picture in it and neither one of those worked either.

This is how I'm feeling right now......this was me when I was I think 5 or 6, it's one of Fiances favorite pictures of me because I'm pouting!

I'm still at a loss for what to get my bridesmaids as their last gift....I don't want to spend a lot but I want to get them something monogrammed. My brain won't function to think about it anymore.

Teeth whitening + no coffee = one headache ridden bride to be!!!! I think that this is some kind of torture device created for the soon to be brides to help increase the madness!

Kiehl's Superbly Efficient Anti-Perspirant & Deodorant is anything but superbly efficient! Aside from the fact that it has no scent? It doesn't work! I got all sweaty and it was not good ya'll, so don't waste your money!

Really sorry to be all negative like this!

On the brighter side my second and last shower is tomorrow! YAY!! I promise to take lots of pictures and share with you on Monday!!!! I hope everyone has a GREAT weekend!

Less then a Month!!

It is officially less then a month before the wedding!!!!! I can't believe it! I went last night and got the program paper for my DIY programs. I also got my second bridal shower dress and shoes!!! I went to Ross (for those who don't know it's like a TJ Maxx or Marshalls) and found a super cute ivory and black dress and then I saw some oh so cute red/hot pink pumps to wear with it.....I wanted a splash of color!

For the centerpeices at the reception I decided to use pictures of Fiance and I instead of flowers. I'm using pictures of us in our travels! Here are a few examples.....

I think we have about eight tables that we are going to put pictures on and I got some frames for them last night at Ross. I'll probably just put a little card beside each frame that tells where we are.

I can't believe it's been 7 years since the 9/11 attacks, it's seems like it was only yesterday. I can remember exactly where I was when I heard that the first plane had hit one of the towers and then I remember every minute, every second after that. I know that day will forever be seared into my memory. And it's a somber reminder for me as to exactly why our troops are off fighting a war, it's so that horrible events like 9/11 don't happen again and it's so that you and I can live in a world and a country FREE from that kind of pain and agony and loss. I thank God everyday that he chose to make me an American and sometimes I wonder why I'm so lucky and others are born in war torn countries and live hellacious lives.....I'll never forget and NEVER stop being grateful!!!!!

Bridal Luncheon and Gifts

The day before the wedding my mom and I are taking my bridesmaids, future mother in law, mistress of ceremonies, and fiance's aunt to Feathernesters for the bridal luncheon.

We really wanted to take them somewhere that was a little different but fun and cute at the same time. I love this place and it seemed perfect for what we wanted to do. I've decided that I'm going to give my Bridesmaids their gifts at the luncheon rather than at the rehearsal dinner, I think they'll be plenty going on then without dealing with gifts. Plus that's kind of why you do a bridal luncheon....as a thank you to the girls for being a part of your big day! I think they'll really enjoy Feathernesters none of them have been there before.

And speaking of gifts I posted about the bags I'm getting the girls and now let me tell you what I'm putting in them.....

And for jewelry I got a black satin and pearl necklace from Forever21 for $6.80 that's no longer available so I can't show you an exact picture of it bit it's a knock off of this one.....It's not that long though....
I really wanted to get them something fun and different to wear and if they never wear it again then that's perfectly fine because it was under $7!

And then I'm paying for them to get a pedicure and I'm going to get them something monogrammed.....I just haven't figured out what yet........

So that's where I'm at on my to do list! And I wanted to thank all the sweet ladies who commented on helping me decide on a frame! My mom and I went to Michael's last Friday because they were having a 50% off sale on frames! And all of the gold frames that we tried with the print just didn't look right....I don't know if it's because it's a black and white print or b/c it's black and white on canvas but it looked off. I had originally not even considered a black frame b/c I thought it would be too dark but we found a really nice one and when I put the portrait in it the picture just POPPED and looked great!!! I'll post pics of it once we get it framed!! But thanks again for all of the input!!! More to come soon!!!

I got a Diamond!

I'm a little late in posting this but the sweet miss tickledpink gave me a diamond award! Her blog is fabulous and I always enjoy reading whatever she has to talk about!

It's getting crazy ya'll

It's officially getting crazy around here. Sorry for the lack of posts this week, but with the wedding right around the corner and starting a new job on the 16th, my posting may be at a minimum. Did I tell ya'll I got a job? Oh, I got a job!! With the same company and basically doing the same thing I'm doing now, so it will hopefully be a smooth transition. Because goodness knows I need that with all of the wedding last minute running around I've got to do!

So in the meantime, here are some pictures from my shower! With all of the festivities and present opening nobody took any pictures until after the fact....so there aren't any funny expressions on my face, just really cheesy poses! : )
