Funny Email Conversation!
Now, poor thing, she's dealing with what so many people are dealing with right now, the very real and close possibility that she's going to lose her job. She works for a private boarding school and let me just say they haven't treated her the best. She's the account manager.
Anyway, you need to know that my mama does not drink, has never drunk, and will probably never put a drop of alcohol to her lips in this lifetime. She just has no desire, doen't see the point and doesn't care to. More power to her.
So here is how the conversation went:
Mama: You can cut the tension around here with a knife today....UNBELIEVALBE!
Me: Your gonna need a drink by the time the weekend gets here, haha, just kidding!
Mama: YEP - I am glad that I just bought a 6-pack of FUZZ.
Me: What is FUZZ??
Mama: That is the banana - coconut drink that I have been getting. They are really good - Maybe that is not the right name...
Me: haha, do you mean FUZE!
Mama: FUZZ - FUZE - what is the difference when you are unemployed?? When are you coming home?
She makes me laugh. She is also having some serious empty nest syndrome since I got married. Before I would come home at least once a week because the apartment that hubby and I live in isn't big enough for all of my stuff so half of it is at my parents house. I know it's pure tragic and it's torture not having all of my things in one place, I can't wait to buy a house! But back to the topic at hand, since getting married I don't come home nearly as often just because I feel like I should be with my husband more, I'm just old-fashioned that way. So she's having some serious Sarah withdrawal : (
Maybe the FUZZ will wash away her sorrows of not having me there! ; )

What do ya'll think....
I'll report back and let you know!
I'm back....
1) Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design
2) Show the 7 winners names and links on your blog, and leave a comment informing them that they were prized with "Honest Scrap." Well, there's no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon
3) List at least 10 honest things about yourself
So here you go...10 (random) things about myself:
1. I don't like sweets, I know what's wrong with me! I'll eat sweets but I'd much rather have some cheese or something savory.
2. There are only two people in my life who know about my blog and that's hubby and his sister. I like keeping it a secret because I can write about whatever I want and not worry about hurting anyone's feelings or being judged. I might tell people one day though.
3. I've never broken a bone (knock on wood) : )
4. I hate to dance, I can't dance so that's probably why I hate it so much.
5. I don't know whether I want to be cremated or buried and I have a really hard time thinking about it, very weird I know.
6. I can't stand to buy anything full price, it's got to be on sale.
7. The more I fly the more anxious I get about it.
8. I wish I was doing something different with my life.
9. I want to live by the sea when I retire.

WINNER OF MY GIVEAWAY!
I was going to get hubby to draw the name but he's already left for work so I had to do it myself and didn't have a lot of spaces where I could set the camera down to timer it that's why I'm so far away haha!!
Now onto my dodgeball experience! It was a lot more fun than I remember it being last year! I think it's because I know all of the people I'm playing with this year and last year I didn't really know anybody! And yes, there was definitely alcohol involved and I was still absolutely rubbish!!! I went on about 5 times and proceeded to get out in about 10 seconds!! I'm not good ya'll!! But it's still fun!!!
My team getting ready for the whistle to blow!
One of my girlfriends husbands getting someone out!
Getting ready to play
Hubby with some teammates!

What am I doing tonight you ask?
This is actually the second year that hubby and I have played dodgeball and I don't know why I'm doing it again. It's one of those things that at the time you cringe and hate but then you look back on it and think you had fun, you know.
All I can tell you is that there will have to be plenty of alcohol involved for me to get out there and make a complete and total fool out of myself! And don't worry I'll be taking pictures so we can laugh together!

My wheels have been turning...
So here's what I was thinking.......we all spend so much time at work or sitting in front of our computer (for those of you who are still in school or maybe stay at home with your little ones) I thought it would be a lot of fun to host a Work Space Tour!
Everyone's work spaces are different, some of us (myself included) are in cubicles, some are in offices, some are lucky enough to work from home, and for those that don't have a desk job, maybe your a SAHM I'm sure you have a work area that you blog from right? And you girls who are in college have a desk that you do your blogging from.
Wouldn't it be fun to share with everyone what inspires you on your desk, what keeps you happy or organized. Share your creative work spaces and give some good ideas to other gals out there who might want to give their work space a little face lift!
Tell me what you think and if you'd be intersted in joining in the fun, so I can see if it's something that would even be possible to put together.

The Story behind my header picture....
I wanted to share with you a story that is near and dear to my heart. This type of story is near and dear to any newlywed, engaged, or long married lovely lady, it's my proposal story.......
It happened in the summer of 2006, in a little town called Rome.....no, not Rome, Georgia, but rather Rome, Italy. My future hubby was the soccer coach of a group of 20 or so 17 year old boys at a private soccer club. Having had his life center around this universal sport, future hubby wanted to give the experience of a lifetime to these budding young men. And what better experience than to take them to Italy for the chance to play in a tournament against other young men from all different parts of the world.
As we were preparing to leave for the trip future hubby and I were at the mall one day picking up a few things when he turned to me and said, "I think you should go and buy yourself a nice black dress for the trip, we'll end up going out to dinner one night, just the two of us." And proceeds to smile at me. This is totally it, I thought, it's going to happen in Italy the most romantic country in the world!! My heart was all a flutter and I quickly went to pick out the most beautiful little black dress I could find, from White House Black Market of course.
To confirm what I already thought was going to happen, future hubby's parents were flying in from Scotland to spend the majority of the trip with us. Just more fuel to my fire. We arrived in the beautiful italian region of Tuscany and stayed at a gorgeous hotel right on the ocean. Perfection. And then a funny thing happened.......nothing.
Practically the whole trip went by and the boys played some great soccer, we watched the soccer world cup unfold in the country that would, in the end, win the world cup. And we saw some of the most beautiful and famous sites in history, pisa, the coliseum, rome, florence, michelanglo's david. But no dinner just the two of us and no proposal. Needless to say I was highly dissapointed.
We moved on to the last part of our trip which ended in Rome. We had two days left of the trip and the boys were done with the soccer tournament so we all headed into Rome to the Vatican. You can't enter St. Peter's Basilica without your shoulders covered and you can't wear shorts so I put on some tennis shoes, some sweat pant capris and a t-shirt......and we headed to St. Peter's Basilica. I have to say that it was one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to and probably will ever go to. You get a very profound feeling when you walk through the doors at St. Peter's.
I was in awe and didn't notice that the rest of the group was no where to be seen, it was only future hubby and his parents. We were walking around and headed to the front of the basilica and into one of the many little chapels they have. Once again I didn't notice that future hubby's parents and stayed back and it was just FH and I that walked into the chapel and took a seat.
We were just sitting there looking at the amazing art work on the walls when FH started telling me a story......he said the following to me, "You know I came here two years ago on another soccer trip with the club and I actually came into this very chapel really early in the morning, there was practically no one here because it was so early. And I prayed to God, I said I have everything I could want in life, I have my health, I have a great job, I have a great place to live, but there is one thing I want, I want someone to share it with, because without someone to share it with it doesn't mean anything."
(now at this point of him telling me the story, I'm thinking oh you're so sweet and literally nothing more!)
He turned to me and said, "And then literally 1 month after I got back from that trip you walked into my life and I knew that God had answered my prayer and sent you to me and I knew that I would bring you back here to this very spot where I prayed for you and ask you to be my wife." At that point he turned to me and got on one knee. SHOCKED. That's how I felt, of course I said yes, and we both turned and said a little prayer. FH parents were watching the whole thing and when we walked up to them his mom just started crying and that's all I needed to set me off crying too.
Low and behold the whole group that we were with, about 45 people, were in on the secret except for me! And two years later, I married that man, who took me to Italy to propose to me where he had prayed for me.
And the picture behind my header is the little chapel where I was proposed to and will forever be one of the happiest days of my life. I hope you enjoyed my little proposal story.

New year, same cold....
Go away you stupid germs! I know you obviously love me, but I do not love you!
I've got big plans for 2009. I really want to work on getting more organized and healthier. I know it's such a cliche to say that you are going to be healthy at the beginning of the new year, but I really am going to work hard at this. I want to eat healthier and work out more (even though I hate working out) I'm gonna do it!
I'm getting really really close to my 100th post and I'm doing a giveaway! I already know what part of it's going to be but I still need to figure out the second part so stay tuned....
I'm going to end with an award. The sweet and lovely Jennifer over at The Pink Chick gave me this award. She has such a great blog, I love reading what she's got going on and we have so much in common too!
"This blog invests and believes in proximity - nearness in space, time, and relationships. These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind of bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly written text into the body of their award."
Here are the blogs I'm giving the award to (sorry if you've already gotten this):
